Power is built within community. We connect organizational leaders, parents, caregivers, and advocates to move beyond silos and build a shared agenda for justice. Trust, collaboration, and co-leadership are at the heart of our coalition.
Challenge Systems & Drive Change
We don’t just work around broken systems—we work to transform them. We organize, advocate, and disrupt harmful policies and practices, pushing for access to all in education, housing, healthcare, and access to opportunity.
Shift Narratives & Invest in Capacity
We challenge deficit-based narratives about our communities and tell our own stories. Through leadership development, policy advocacy, and healing-centered approaches, we equip communities to sustain long-term change.

About Us
BCDI Ohio Power Building Coalition is a dynamic alliance of diverse organizational leaders, parents, caregivers, and community stakeholders united by a shared commitment: to uplift, empower, and advocate for Ohio’s communities facing structural disinvestment. We believe in the transformative power of lived experiences.
Our coalition centers the voices of those who have often been overlooked—families, individuals, and communities with limited access to essential resources, support systems, and opportunities. By listening, learning, and leading together, we strive to become the informed and trusted voice of the communities we serve.
Mission
To build collective power by connecting leaders and families across Ohio in a movement that strengthens communities through advocacy, access to all, and systemic change.

We are parents, caregivers, nonprofit leaders, local and state leaders, educators, advocates, and changemakers—working in solidarity to:
